For us, Synyster brings together two things we care deeply about: telling stories and creating food with flavor. Film and sauce may seem like different worlds, but both start with an idea, a little experimentation, and the work it takes to make something our own.

We started with a film.
Then we found another way to create.
Synyster Films began with the goal of bringing our first horror feature to life. We knew there was more to making a film than writing a script and picking up a camera. It takes funding, planning, the right team, and a lot of persistence. Getting those pieces together has taken time.
After moving from Los Angeles to San Antonio, we put more of our focus into another passion we shared: food. My husband and I wanted to create sauces with the balance of heat and flavor we were looking for in our own cooking. That became Synyster Sauce Co. We’re still building the film side while giving the sauce business room to grow.
THE STORIES WE WANT TO TELL

Film is where the bigger idea began. We love the creativity of filmmaking, but we also respect the work behind it: building a team, managing a budget and schedule, communicating, and keeping everyone moving toward the same goal.
Our first feature goal is rooted in horror. As we grow, we want to create opportunities for other writers and filmmakers, including undiscovered voices with stories worth telling. We’re building toward that vision one project and one relationship at a time.

Synyster Sauce Co
We believe hot sauce should do more than burn. The flavor should be just as memorable as the heat, and it should add something to the food you’re already making.
Our sauces are fresh and handcrafted, with no additives, no preservatives, and definitely no vinegar. They bring together my husband’s culinary experience and our shared love of experimenting with food. Hot sauce is where we started, but our vision is to grow into other kinds of sauces, too.

We chose to bring both businesses together under one website because that made sense for us as we were getting started. Over time, it also became a way to show how the two sides can support each other. Film brings storytelling and visual creativity. Sauce brings that creativity into something people can share around a table.
Our vision is to keep growing both sides without losing what made us start in the first place. We want to make films that stay with people and sauces they keep coming back to. We’re starting here in Texas, with the hope of reaching people far beyond it.
